Monica Allegro, Purchasing

Monica Allegro brings a background of research skills and extensive professional contacts to the challenge of running the Purchasing Department here at Western Costume. Prior to purchasing in the costuming business, Monica was a purchaser in the highly demanding aerospace industry. Need the right fabric for an 1840 Mexican Army uniform, or maybe gold buttons for a lady's dress- circa 1900 London? No problem for Monica compared to securing parts for the space shuttle.

Monica describes her job as "detective work." Her incredible range of sources extends from flea markets of Europe, to warehouses of Asia and foreign consulates here in Los Angeles. Monica has been with Western Costume since 1994. When she's not working the phones and searching the Internet on behalf of her customers, Monica might be camping or enjoying water sports with 9-year old son and her husband Frank, who also works here at Western. We've learned that if Monica can't find it, it probably doesn't exist.
