Tzetzi Ganev, Head of Ladies' Custom Made

Tzetzi Ganev, Master Dressmaker at the Women's Couture Department, was fortunate to be trained at one of the world's best design schools, the Marangoni School of Design in Milan. Tzetzi chose her name, which means "flower," from a character in her father's best-selling novel. Venturing to Los Angeles from Italy 30 years ago for one project, dressing Leslie Anne Warren in Disney's "The Happiest Millionaire," Tzetsi stayed on for "Bonnie and Clyde" and "Camelot," and never left. Twenty-five years ago she joined Western Costume's crew and has since dressed many of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Ingrid Bergman, Marlene Dietrich, and Fay Dunaway, Greer Garson, Doris Day, Kim Novak and Julie Andrews.

"A costume is a tool for an actress to express herself," she explains. Expressing herself is never a problem for Tzetzi, who speaks 7 languages and is equally skilled at interpreting costume designer's sketches and accommodating the needs of some of the world's most beautiful women. Not surprisingly, Tzetzi is also trained in the art of sculpting, which she studied in Italy.
