From its birth, Western Costume has collected and continuously expanded its collection of vintage ladies’ costumes. Through manufacturing and purchasing, we have kept up with women’s ever-changing fashions over the centuries and today have one of the largest vintage collections available.
Hollywood stars through the ages including Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Lauren Bacall, Lucille Ball, Julie Andrews, Bette Midler, Anjelica Huston, Helen Hunt and Catherine Zeta-Jones have worn costumes from our Women’s Department.
Floor-to-ceiling racks hold thousands of women’s costumes. Surrounding these are hats, shoes, handbags and accessories of every shape and size. Jewelry cases are filled with gems of every period. The diversity and quality of the pieces available in Western’s Women’s Rentals Department are a particular source of pride, and year after year, these garments continue to awe our oldest customers and newest visitors.
Women’s Department Head Donna Roberts brought her 25 years of costuming experience in the film and television industry to Western Costume in 1992. With credits including “Roots,” “Thornbirds,” and “Steel Magnolias,” Donna has extensive knowledge and experience in fashioning the perfect costume.
