Millinery

HatsMillinery is the complex art of creating hats and headwear.

Over the years, custom-made millinery has slowed, but not at Western Costume. Since the early days of Western, we’ve been making hats of every sort, for movies of every kind. Think Carmen Miranda turbans. Think John Wayne ten-gallons. Think Elizabeth Taylor crowns.

Think Western Costume Millinery.

Western Costume can make any headpiece from any era. Any design can be replicated. Recent projects include the famous red-and-white “Cat in the Hat” top hat, the fashionable 1960’s hats of Renee Zellwegger in “Down With Love,” and the over 100 meticulously researched 1830’s Navy hats for Russell Crowe’s character in “Master and Commander”.
