Western Costume's Fabric Store is a haven of vintage and unique fabrics. Bolts of men's suiting from the 1940's and 1950's, silk taffetas and chiffons in colors no longer available, metallic brocades of the 1960's, and poly-knits made popular in the 1970's are just a small sampling of our broad fabric selection.
In addition to fabrics, we have floor to ceiling shelves packed with ribbons, laces, eyelets, and metallic trimmings. This, combined with multi-colored curled feathers, silk flowers, and beaded appliqués makes Western Costume's Fabric Store among the finest anywhere.
Our Button Room overflows with a collection of more than 100,000 buttons. Rare treasures are abundant: delicate lacy metals, and pierced foil with enamel are only two of our twentieth century offerings.
We also have celluloid button and buckle sets, real and faux mother-of-pearl and jet buttons, as well as several types of uniform buttons dated from the 1930's to present day.
As the West Coast representative for Beckenstein Men's of New York, Western Costume has access to fine fabrics such as Scabel & Wain Schiell. This, in addition to our established relationship with Dormeuil Fabrics, gives Western Costume passage to fine fabrics from the East Coast to the British Isles.
